Emergency First Response Team Training by Maldivian Red Crescent

The Maldivian Red Crescent is organizing our second Emergency First Response Team Training. This is your chance to learn how to provide first aid, CPR and other life support in emergencies. This would be a good opportunity for existing first aiders to learn new skills in relation to emergency response.
In addition to the Standard First Aid content this training will include advanced modules such as:
• Applied Anatomy and Physiology
• Moving and Handling in emergency scenario
• Trauma Management
• Working with other services
The training facilitators will include resource persons from MNDF Medical Services, Police Services and medical doctors. The training will conclude with a public drill to demonstrate the participant’s knowledge and skills in managing an emergency disaster scenario.
It will be a 10 day training in Male’ from 16th to 27th February, 2011 with classes from 8.30am to 5.00pm.
Participants who successfully complete the training are expected to contribute their time as voluntary service to the Maldivian Red Crescent.
